Although I am not a seafood lover, I actually enjoyed eating here! This is a fresh seafood restaurant that had a open and unique decor all around. This was our first time attending and to our surprise with entry you can't help but notice the graffiti of names left by customers that are signed ALL throughout the restaurants walls, doors and seating booths. Even though I've never seen this done at any restaurant, I actually enjoyed the fact that they allowed their customers to leave their mark here and embrace it to its full potential. It is a strong seafood smell in the restaurant. If you like seafood you probably won't mind this but if you don't it is pretty strong. I decided to get a basic meal of just fried shrimp (lemon pepper) and fries. My bf went with a pound of snow crab, corn and potatoes. I enjoyed my fried shrimp with lemon pepper it was actually pretty tasty. My bfs food was boiled in a plastic bag and served in the same bag with a bib, gloves, and the utensils you need to open the crab! They also provided a bucket for the shells/garbage. He decided to go with the hot Cajun style butter and he devoured his food within minutes. I personally think the portion size was small for both meals. Mine, I didn't mine so much because I am not crazy about seafood but usually when I see seafood boils online I usually see super large servings. His serving size was not that great but the waitress did explain the options for different meals and how they are weighed by the pound so if you want more you will definitely have to pay for it! -

My parents favourite part about visiting me in Buffalo used to be Joe's Crab Shack so they were pretty bummed when it closed down. When I found out that another large seafood place opened up in the same location I knew I would have to take them the next time they visited and that just so happened to be on Saturday! This place looks pretty cool from the outside and continues when you enter through the front door. The first thing you'll notice about this restaurant is the writing covering almost every single wall, which I think I'm quite the fan of! At the front counter you will find some permanent markers just waiting to be used so you can sign anywhere you find a spot. I'm not a huge seafood guy so I can get too into detail about the menu or how good it is to a seafood fan, but both of my parents are avid seafood lovers and both raved about them. I'm kind of a seafood baby and I stick to the basics, for me that was the fried cod and French fries. The French fries were pretty darn good for standard French fries while the fried Fish was super good! The breading was pretty standard for fried fish but tasted really good, the same can be said for the fish.
Overall, I had a great time at Storming Crabs and had a great experience. I loved the restaurant itself and the unique look, I really enjoyed the food, the service was super friendly and super helpful, and the prices weren't bad either! If you love seafood, you need to come and check this place out! -

Stopped in for lunch today. What a treat. I was seated promptly and with a smile. Mr server Katie was great. She explained to me how to order since I was new.
My boil came not too long after the seafood bread which was fabulous. Food was great! They give You bibs and gloves so you sunny get your hands dirty off you don't want to.
Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. -

I'm finally getting around to updating the restaurants I have dined at since the passing of my Dad. Tonight I ate at this place and it was beyond delicious, we had #4, spicy Cajun spices it was actually enough for 3 people, crab legs, sausage, , potatoes, corn, very filling, I will definitely be returning, and the service was excellent, don't sleep on this place it is well worth the price, finger licking good!!!!

Came here for a family dinner so we had a large group but our server didn't miss a beat.
Though the prices may seem high, for what you get I found them very reasonable. I got the shrimp and it was definitely enough for two full meals, and the sauce was delicious. Everyone else at the table also left full, or with leftovers to take home.
When your order comes, it's in a bag (not a plate) and you eat it with your hands, so if that's not your thing, I would recommend trying somewhere else.
Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a casual atmosphere with good seafood though!
